The Course

A little about us

The Les Cheneaux Club Golf Links is Michigan’s oldest continuously played golf course and home to the Les Cheneaux Golf Club. The course is owned by the Les Cheneaux Club and operated for the benefit of club members, the Les Cheneaux community, and visitors to the area. We welcome the public to play this historic gem on the edge of the Snows Channel!

Layout

Aerial view of the course

The Les Cheneaux Club Golf Links is a 9 hole course with two sets of back tees to give 18 hole golfers alternate views of each hole.  The course plays to 2929 yards and par 35.  A set of forward tees for women and juniors plays to 2437 yards.

Several holes sit along the waterfront and provide scenic views of the Snows Channel and Marquette Island.  Holes 5, 6, and 7 move inland among the trees before the course returns to the water.  Each green sits close to the next tee so the links are easy to walk.

The fairways are lined with native grasses reminiscent of the heather on the Scottish coast.  Berms of grass covered rocks plowed from the land more than a century ago lie between several holes to form natural hazards.
