2024 Season Update

Les Cheneaux Club Golf Links Getting Improvements

The Les Cheneaux Club Golf Links will open for public play next year for the 2025 golf season. Reconditioning work continues this summer and fall and play has been limited.  We know this disappoints our community friends and golfers who were looking forward to playing the historic course this year.  Please look forward to next season.

2024 is a year of transition to what should be a more enjoyable golf experience in years ahead.  The native grasses have been cut back to increase the playing area- fewer lost balls and faster rounds!  Most of the re-surfaced tees have recovered very well while a few have lagged due to soil compaction.  The putting greens are improving from last fall’s turf damage but some patches require re-seeding which resumes this month.  In addition to on going work on the tees and greens, selective tree removal to improve turf health will continue.  We are optimistic several of the neglected sand bunkers will be removed before next season opens.

Stay tuned to the LCGC website, our Facebook page, and roadside signs for course updates.
